Hi,
I have a problem with the SSH configuration clients. I've started with it (SSH sessions), because I've discovered your product a few days ago, and I'm trying now, but I can find the way to configure the SSH session with my work environment.

Summary:

  1. I'm using the MAC version of RDM
  2. I have in my ~/.ssh/config a number of definitions with all the FQDNs / IPs of the servers I use everyday
  3. I have a configured VPN that I use to reach these servers.


I've been trying to setup one of my server SSH connections, but... it doesn't work. I couldn't find out how to tell RDM that uses my SSH config, and/or my configured VPN.

Please, could you tell me if you have some tutorials on how to configure a basic SSH session, and how can I use my already configured SSH config file / VPN configurations?

Is there any manual of the product to download? Or it's just part of the payment version?

This will depends on what exactly you are trying to do. Are we really talking about a VPN here? Not a Proxy? Or a gateway?

If so, RDM does not supports launching all VPN automatically, only a select few. What VPN do you want to use exactly?

My work environment is:

  • For accessing my servers I use a VPN already configured via WireGuard.
  • All of these servers are registered in my ~/.ssh/config file


So, I want to configure an SSH session that use that VPN, and use the servers I have registered in my SSH config file

I'm not familiar with WireGuard, so I can't really provide much help with. What I know is that we do not support it natively in RDM. Can it be started/stopped from command line? Or in any other scriptable way? If so, you can try to configure a "Custom" VPN entry to launch and stop your WireGuard VPN. Such an entry can then be linked to SSH entries to be opened automatically when launching those SSH entries.

As for your SSH sessions. RDM does not support launching from your config file. If you want to use them in RDM, you will need to reconfigure them directly in RDM as SSH Sessions.

I might be misunderstanding what you are trying to do though.
