RDM Edge Embedded (not working) versus External (working) on old IE site

avatar

Hi People,

I need to access an old website (can't be updated): https://app.star.cd/starweb

Using RDM External (Edge) on this website, all is good, so I know the IE compatibilty and security settings are okay. However, running Embedded (Edge) I get a "browser not supported" from the web site.

Anyone have some hints on this?

Thanks!

Hello,

Just so you know, our embedded browsers are present because we are integrating third party application. It's not the external window that it's resize to fit into the tab.

That being said, is it the same behavior if you are using Chrome embedded?

Sure is...but worse - not due to RDM but because the web app says "only IE".

Hello,
embedded Edge does not support the IE compatibility mode.

You can try the set Internet Explorer instead of Edge for this specific web site:

Same result (exactly) as Edge. External is okay, Embedded is rejected. You can try this yourself; it is accessible generally.

Hello,
You're right, Even with embedded IE it does not work. I don't know what we could do to make it works.
