Hi,
we are trialling RDM (which connect to an on-prem DVS). Everything works great, but at random intervals the app goes at 100% CPU, completely stalling our jump boxes, you basically cant do anything, even pulling up task manager takes a good 30 seconds.
We dont understand what is triggering it, as it happens even when working on a session, not while opening a new one for example.
This is only happening on RDM, with RDM closed all our other apps (including our former Remote desktop tabbed type app) work as normal.
Our jump boxes run on SSDs, the jump box and DVS are in the same subnet.
Thanks
Hello,
This is very strange.
What version of RDM are you running?
What version of Devolutions Server are you using?
When this situation is happening, is it possible for you to open the task manager and expend the RDM processes? I would like to know if there's a lot of sub-processes running.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi,
thanks for your reply,
2022.2.21.0 64-bit RDM
2022.2.9.0 DVS
Seem to be pretty random, I can have 10 tabs opened, or 2, at some point I m trying to do something and notice the app is not responsing, after say 30 seconds/1 minute everything works again.
Sorry lost the screenshot when it was happening, but it looks like this with the "Remote Desktop Manager [device] - trial version" at 70-80% CPU
Hello,
Thank you for your swift reply!
Since the issue seems to occur at random times and the issue solves itself after 30 sec to 1 minute, finding its cause will be difficult. Would it be possible for you to consult your Help -> Application logs after this issue occurs and see if anything is logged there?
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Thanks guys, I can't see any logs for the past 2-3 days, so assuming nothing went wrong then.
I m testing using the Edge instead of Chrome, it feels a bit more snappy.
Hello,
No problem! Let us know if this issue resurfaces or if you require further assistance.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
