Hello,
I'm testing Devolution Server product with SQL server to replace our RDM datasource that is microsoft SQL server.
We installed the Devolution Server with SQL express in a VM, configured it and integrated domain authentication.
Devolution server is now fully working throught the web interface.
Onmy workstation where RDM is installed, I created a new datasource, selected Devolution Server and specified the informations (URI), specify same credentials tested into the web interface but get an authentication error.
I'm trying to understand why RDM won't connect to the Devolution Server web interface as it works using browser.
RDM is on a workstation while devolution server is on a VM. But :
Any ideas why my login / password won't work throught RDM but throught web interface ?
Devolution server is up to date : 2022.2.9.0
RDM is an older version : 2021.2.28.0
Thank's
Hello,
Since version 2022.x, OAuth is used for the authentication. This means you would need to upgrade RDM to at least 2022.1, but we would recommend upgrading to the latest version.
Since you have a SQL data source as well, you can use a portable version of RDM to test Devolutions Server.
1- Download the .zip: https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go in this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager64.exe
5- Enter your current serial (if not provided by your data source)
6- Add your data source

Hello,
I've added the devolution server datasource in the portable RDM version and the connection seems to work. But RDM tell that entreprise licence is not found on the datasource.
I'm using the devolution server trial version licence key, RDM notice it as it prompt me that licence is expiring in 6 days.
Is there a way to use an entreprise trial licence key ?
Thank's for the help
Hello,
Glad to hear it works with the portable version.
You would need to put your RDM license directly in Devolutions Server, you can follow this KB for the steps: https://helpserver.devolutions.net/webinterface_licenses.html
If you need a trial key, you can do so here: https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/trial
