bulk replace web session settings

avatar

we have quite a lot of web sessions for Google Worksapce admin, ie https://admin.google.com. Some are quite old, some are new. From the outside they look exactly identical but the newer one behave as expected, username and password are filled automatically, the older one don't work as such no matter what we do (identical field names options whathaveyou), there we need to copy usernsame and password into clipboard and insert.

Is there a way or a script to copy over the session settings from one of the newer, working sessions to the other, keeping username and password?

Hello,

A method would to save a working Web entry as a template.

Then apply this template on a problematic entry using Edit - Edit Special Actions - Convert with Template. Try it on one entry and let me know if that helps.

Ok, this works halfway. The newly created entry works as expected but the entry is not created in the same folder as before. This is a problem as all web sessions have the same name (Workspace) but are in different folders. Would I bulk convert them I woold have 20 entries in one different folder with the same name, virtually indistinguishable.

btw, when editing the templates (file|templates... the panel has no "close" button or menu entry 😳 - I need to restart RDM to close it.

ok, worse. now, even after a restart the template panel is open although I have an autostart playlist (I think have, I NEVER find the option again which sessions should be open on startup after I set it).

so, how can I close this panel

Hello,

Normally, you should have a ribbon with the open "Entries" which would include the Entry Template tab, where you would be able to close it. If you head over to File - Options - Keyboard, you can set a Shortcut to close Tabs : forum image
