We've been using RDM for quite a while now and it's working great.
I have a requirement where I want to share a weekly changing password in one of our Vaults out to a number of support engineers, however these engineers don't usually use RDM and don't have licences. Is there a way I can just share this single entry (Ideally via the URL) out to these people, but still requiring them to authenticate to get access to it?
Any help appreciated..
Hello,
If you are using the DVLS PAM Module, they could logon daily and get their new set of credentials.
You don't have to give them access to any shared vault, so when they log in DVLS, the would only see the user vault, and the Folder you give them access to in the Privileged Access Section.
Would that do it?
If you do not wish to use the Privileged Access module and rotate those password manually, you can send them the direct URL of the entry by using the Address Bar URL (<your base URL>/dvls/connections/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000/afdc955b-4ff3-4de5-bbd1-c0e342b55718)
They will be prompted for their DVLS Credentials and then redirected directly to the entry.
Thanks for letting us know if this helps.

Alex Belisle
Thanks,
If I was to send them the URL to the password (Or embed that somewhere), would that require a licence for the users to read the shared password?
Hello,
Thanks for your response.
They would need a DVLS Profile, which is subject to a license (CAL).
I hope this helps!
