I've had an annoying issue that I can't find a resolution for.
Our company uses RSA MFA for domain logons. This is typically fine for logging in on a domain server. However, I often need to RDP to a server and log in as local admin. However, I have not found any way to bypass the RSA domain authentication piece that defaults to my domain admin account.
For instance, I want to RDP to server xyz123 and log in as xyz123\administrator. However, when I do a quick connect for that IP, I get an RSA popup from remote desktop manager prompting me for my domain UID and RSA token to log into my domain account. I have found no way to do a direct RDP connection to the server to do local authentication.
There must be a setting somewhere that tells it to use my domain account so I can disable that for quick connect, but I have not found where to turn that off.
If I use the Windows built-in RDP (mstsc), I can connect and then log in using local admin, so it doesn't seem to be particular to our domain setup.
Can someone provide documentation where to do that?
Hello,
Have you tried to use the RDP external mode in RDM? It using mstsc to open the connection.
