Hi,

With the use of Vaults and central secret servers and central access servers, the need to remotely open a session is growing inside all organizations.

From what i can see, it is already possible to open a RDP session by using the command line. Now we need to open URL's and SSH sessions in the same manner.

This is really important to be implemented, and could use a switch called /Type: with options rpd, web, webs, ssh, etc... along with the /Host: /UserName: and /Password:

With this function, integration with Secret servers or Centralized access servers will be simple and it will be an option that organizations will value.

Cheers

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this,

I'm wondering if creating Templates for this would work in your case? You would need to create a template for both SSH and Website entries then you would simply need to add the parameter for the template you wish to use in your RDP command.
https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_command_line_arguments.html

This should allow you to open entries of the type you wish to use,

Let me know,

Best regards,

Hi Samuel,

Thank you for your answer.

That would work if it were only me. As far as I can see, each template has an ID that changes for each user, correct?

In this case it would not work for the second user.. and others that need to access that template.

Is there a solution to have the templates in each user use the same ID?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply,

Which type of data source are you currently using? If you're using a shared data source like an SQL Server, it is possible to save the template with the "Shared" mode instead of "Local" this way it would be shared with all users using this data source, perhaps this would work in this case?

Let me know,

Best regards,
