Hi Supportteam,
we have about 200 Users in our DataSource (MS-SQL).
When migrating to the new version of RDM v2022.2.14 every users needs to answer a question regarding "User settings and to delete the old oones".
Can we do this as an Admin for all Users in advance ?
thx.
Michael Sachs
Hello Michael,
Unfortunately, in the current iteration, the administrators cannot manage that setting for the users. Since the administrators do not have access to the user specific settings either, it cannot be performed by them. Please note it is a one-time process, they will not see it again, unless they press cancel (X).
For more information on the migration: https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_user_specific_settings_encryption_migration.html
That being said, I will make an improvement ticket to see if the admin could manage it globally.
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hi Michael, we are looking at ways to implement this. Would a policy that can be managed by a GPO work for you?

Hi Sebastian,
good idea.
Unfortunably we have Windows, MAC an Linux Users.
No, will not work,
thx Michael
Thanks, we will add a system setting to automatically do the migration, this should be available shortly.

Hi Michael, we have released a new version with the option to automatically do the migration. The option is located in System Settings / Advanced under the Administration panel and should be available on Mac and Linux as well.
Best regards,
