An unexpected error occured

Getting the following error when having Linux (ssh) sessions open. I can connect fine but after about an hour the connection is frozen and eventually I get this error.

I've tried re-installing the application and same result. I have a co-worker using the same version of RDM Free, connecting to the same Linux servers (ssh) and he does not experience this issue. Only difference in our environment is I'm running Windows 11 Pro he is using Windows 10 Pro.

I have a few questions which you can hopefully answer.

  • Which version of RDM are you using?
  • Which type of data source are you using?


Do you encounter this issue with all your SSH entries or only with this specific remote host? I'm also wondering if you encounter this behavior outside RDM?

RDM version = 1.27.0
SSH Shell session

This happens to all ssh sessions setup in RDM. I haven't tested using outside of RDM but I can run a test using putty.

Most likely, you are being disconnected due to the session being idle. If you haven't already, enable TCP Keepalive on your SSH servers:
SSH Session Timeout - TCP Keepalive - .matrixpost.net

Then, in the properties of your session in RDM, in the Advanced tab, check the "Enable TCP keepalives" option (not enabled by default).
