Embedded UltraVNC: When failing to connect, there are two error windows that pop up every time
Can this be handled better to just one window please? Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter.
I have opened a ticket with our engineering department and we will see what can be done.
We will get back to you once we will have an update to provide.
Best regards
James Lafleur
Hello,
Since you are using UltraVNC, the connection is launched outside of RDM. This means that the first error message is most probably coming from UltraVNC itself, not RDM, for this reason, we, unfortunately, have no control over it.
According to the information I have gathered, we only have control over the second error message (The one labeled Remote Desktop Manager Free) that you are receiving.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
With that said, would it be possible for you to go into the properties of your VNC entry and change the "Display" to embedded to see if you receive the same messages?
Our Engineering Department is currently looking at their options to see what can be done about the "External" mode.
James Lafleur
Thanks James! I am using Embedded UVNC though.
Hello,
Thank you for your quick reply!
I will transfer this information to our engineering department and get back to you shortly.
Best regards

Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for your patience,
I wanted to inform you that this issue should be resolved in RDM 2022.2.9.0.
Unfortunately, I do not have an exact release date for this version, you can however follow our release notes from this page:

Thanks again!
