Serial Port Connection Freezing Problem

Could you elaborate on your first point? RDM is freezing when you try to launch a serial port?

As for the second point, we will see what can be done, it's not immediately supported since the Serial Port does not have an host, so I'm pretty sure that even with a custom template, this is not possible at the moment.

When there is a problem with the remote connection while working in the data center, it is necessary to connect it to the device with a cable from the computer.

The next version of RDM Mac (2022.2.X.0) will support using Serial Port in the Quick Connect window.

To do so, you will first need to configure a Serial Port Template:





Once this is done, you should see the template available in the Quick Connect type selector:



The version should be available in the next few weeks.
