I had a secure note stored in my RDM database with some support information -- nothing critical thank goodness -- that has suddenly started showing up as "File_Not_Found". No other notes showed like this, however upon attempting to re-create the note that I had I am receiving the same error message:
I thought there were issues with the DB, so I created a new SQL lite DB and tested, but received the same issue, so I wonder if this is an application issue and not a problem with my configuration.
Further review shows that this only appears to be an issue where Markup has been used on the note -- notes that are using "Plain Text" do not show this issue
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out regarding this,
I have a few questions which you can hopefully answer.
You encounter this issue with a newly created "Secure Note" entry also is that correct? Perhaps you could provide me with a small sample of the note without any sensitive information?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
So sorry for the delay in response. Here is my information. As you can see I am using an SQLite DB that is 10MB in size:
I have noticed that it only shows this error when "Markdown" is selected in the Secure Note configuration. If I select Plain Text, it works just fine:
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
Do you encounter the same issue with a portable instance of RDM? To test this, you will need to do the following:
1- Download the .zip file below:
https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/home/thankyou/rdmfreebin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go in this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanagerfree.exe
5- Enter your current serial which you can find here: https://portal.devolutions.com/serials
Did you use the same text "This is a test" in both cases with simply the "Type" changing from "Plain text" to "Markdown"?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
