We have used a Jump Connection to a Server to connect to several computers. Now we replaced the Jump connections, using a devolutions gateway which works fine for almost everything: RDP, SSH, etc. except for FTP/WinSCP. After clicking on the Connection just nothing happens. No error message, it looks like it doesn't responds.
Using the same configuration over the jump connection works fine and the other connections types with just changing from jump to devolutions GW also worked without a problem. has anyone experience with that?
Hello,
FTP/WinSCP is not supported on the Gateway.
SFTP is planned for the 2022.2 release, which should release end of Q2.
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hi Richard
Why is WinSCP (SCP) Connections over Gateway not posssible?
WinSCP is much better than the intergrated SCP Client that works over the Gateway (sorry :) ).
Kind regards,
Jannis
Hello Jannis,
In fact it's just because the WinSCP is an external application that Gateway cannot support it.
But you can configure a Gateway Tunnel to support WinSCP connections through the Gateway.
Out of curiosity, what features or options do you like most in WinSCP that are not available in our built-in SCP entry type? Maybe we could integrate these features so you won't have to use the external WinSCP application!
