Hi
With RDM open, and the network connection is disconnected, maybe the laptop have been to sleep also, RDM tells me “Not Connected” – Which is kind of fair 😊.
But if I then press F5 or ctrl+F5 RDM do not reconnect.
It reconnects if I go offline and then Online again or if I switch between “Vault” or “User Vault”
Sometime RDM doesn’t hide the tree and show “Not connected” instead the whole tree is shown but if I right click all options is grayed out. Again F5/ctrl+F5 doesn’t get RDM out of this state but Offline/Online does.
RDM Version: 2022.1.25.0 64-bit
Datasource DVLS version: 2022.1.12.0

Hello Lars,
What type of authentication are you using (domain, O365, custom)?
Could you check if your Devolutions Server is set to always running (in IIS): https://kb.devolutions.net/dps_configure_dps_always_available.html You may be getting the error because the application pool is starting, it can take a few moments.
The Application Logs, under Help may also have more information, can you send them via PM, or to service@devolutions.net?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hi
We use DVLS built in auth.
The Application pool is set to "Allways Running"
I cleared the logs, turned off wifi and then unpluged the network cable, so laptop is offline.
After selecting a new entry in RDM and retrieved the following log entry:
Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Business.TryGoOfflineException: DVLS server did not respond in time. Check your connection or try increasing the connection timeout.

It seams like it dosn't (always) automatically goes offline when it loses connection it's connection with the server.

Hello Lars,
I did a quick test on my end and it works as expected. With the "Auto Go Offline" option checked (under File > Data Sources > Edit > Advanced), it will go in offline mode when you lose access to the network. It works with either changing vault, or when going to another entry in the same vault and then performing an action, for example View Password.
Note that you may have cache issue for different vaults if you do not access them regularly, one way around that is to enable the option "Prompt refresh all vaults on startup", found in RDM under Administration > System Settings > Offline.
Best regards,

Hi
I upgraded RDM, ticked the box to "Auto go offline" but still got "Not connected".
I have sent the Application logs to support, by pressing "Send to Support" from the Report tab.

Hello Lars,
Thank you, we can continue in the case; we will report the findings here after.
