Variable that shows WAN IP of the website/host

avatar

Hello,

I dont think it exists yet or I havent found it yet.
What I am looking for is a variable that gives back the IP-adres of the website. So in this case im using a " Website" entry which will open for example https://forum.devolutions.net/.

Now in the name of that entry i want to be able to use a variable that will do a ping to https://forum.devolutions.net/ and place the IP-adres that comes out of that ping in the variable. The ping should ping to forum.devolutions.net which gives back in this case 23.96.207.177

So the variable and name will look like this:
Name: $WAN_IP_HOST$ - Devolutions Forum
=
23.96.207.177 - Devolutions Forum

https://forum.devolutions.net/ is used in this case to show what i mean.

Is something like this possible?

Hello,

Thank you for your patience,

I've confirmed that this is not currently possible,

That being said, perhaps you could clarify what you would like to achieve with this? This would be used to simply see the IP or perhaps it is needed to do something during the execution?

Let us know,

Best regards,

Hello Samuel,

Alright thank you for checking. The general idea behind it is to quickly see the IP of the website. In our case we use a lot of AWS servers and with this we can quickly identify what WAN is active for which server. So basically for identification. Now we just manually type in the WAN IP but with this it would be faster and more accurate.
