Open Confluence Link in system's default Browser via right-click oder custom action

We are looking into adding this but we realized there is a very similar feature already available. In your entry, if you configure the description to be a URL, you can then access it through the overview tab of the dashboard, and it will open with your default browser:





Let me know if this solution would work for you or if you need specifically to use the "Confluence URL".

this will work for us for the moment.

In the long run it would be nice to use the Confluence Option with the feature to open via right click because of the possibility to rename the function/tab.

Regarding improving the confluence documentation URL, would adding the URL to the dashboard's overview with the open button (basically like I showed with the description in URL mode in my previous message) be an appropriate solution for you?

unfortunately no, it would be useful for us if there is the option "Open %Documentationname%" in the context menu of the right-click, in our case "Öffne Gerätepass" which opens the Confluence documentation URL in the system's default browser.

Do you mean the context menu of the navigation pane? I just want to be sure we add it in where it is most useful to you

We've added the Open Confluence URL Externally in the View section of the contextual menu. This should be available as early as next version.

We will consider adding this to RDM, but we try to keep the Actions menu restricted to the most common actions, otherwise it would be too cluttered.
I've opened an additional ticket for this.

I think it is a good idea to show this button only if the Conflunce-URL is defined.
