Hello,

If we upgrade to the latest DVLS can our current RDM version (2020.3.29.0) still fully work with it or will there be any problems ?
So when we Upgrade our DVLS do we have to upgrade ALL our RDM clients at the same time as the DVLS to ensure proper functioning or can we do that seperatly.

Hello,

That's right, if you plan to upgrade DVLS to the latest version 2022.1, as stated in the Release notes, RDM version 2022.1 is required. Both application are closely related.
The older RDM version won't connect to DVLS and it should display a warning message like this one.

So yes you'll have to upgrade all RDM client right after the DVLS upgrade.

In the DVLS upgrade process steps, you can adjust the allowed RDM versions that can connect on DVLS with the Version Management feature you will find in Administration - System Settings. You can even provide a download link so the users will install the appropriate version.
