Support for DBeaver

avatar

Hi team!

Are there any plans for supporting DBeaver sessions in RDM? It's a universal tool for database access. They have an excellent command line (ref below) and it would allow keeping all database-related connections in RDM.

https://dbeaver.com/docs/wiki/Command-Line/

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Thanks for providing a link to the CLI documentation! I've opened a feature request ticket to add support for this in the future. We will post back in this topic when we have an update on the integration.

Hi Hubert , has there been any further development happening to integrate/include support for DBeaver sessions directly from RDM?

Hello,

The request has been assigned to an engineer, but it is still in his backlog. I will ask them to up the priority.

Hello,

We've added support for the DBeaver entry (to be enabled in the Add-on Manager). It will support connecting to a database as well as some advanced settings. It might be complex to find the Driver ID for the connection string, you can find it by going in Database-> Driver Manager -> Edit (the desired database type) -> Description ID. We have also included a link to DBeaver documentation to help clarify certain settings. Here is a screenshot to visually help finding the Driver ID. It should be available for the 2022.3 version.
