RDM Database out of date warning

RDM Database out of date warning

avatar

After updating my RDM client to version 2022.1.12.0 64-bit, I get this message:

"the data source ___ requires a Remote Desktop Manager version lower or equal than 2021.2.9999. Please contact your remote desktop manager administrator."

The data source is SQL Server 2012 on Windows Server 2019.

However, I can still open the data source and launch RDP sessions and retrieve passwords.

However, if I try to make a change, such as editing the description of something, then it shows the same popup, but it makes the change anyway.

I tried to update the database manually by going to Data Sources, the Upgrade tab, and clicking "Update Database", but nothing happened.

Is my SQL Server data source up to date? How do I check? How can I get this pop-up to stop, especially if it's a false alarm?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

please have a look into the Data Source Version Management and update the versions.
Can be found at Administration => System Settings => Version Management

Hello Roger,

If your account is an administrator, it will bypass the min/max version management of RDM. To modify it, you can go to the Administration tab in RDM -> System Settings -> Version Management and modify the minimum and maximum version.

Version 750 is the latest for SQL. You can check it by going to File > My data source information

Thank you! My database is 1.750, and I was able to change the "maximal version" to my current version and make the error stop!
