Copy/paste not working in FreeRDP (latest)

Copy/paste not working in FreeRDP (latest)

avatar

Hello,

I am forced to use FreeRDP (latest) for automatic login to some of the servers I connect to, as otherwise I am prompted for password upon connection.
When I use FreeRDP I am unable to copy & paste from/to servers. It works fine when using regular RDP.

Clipboard is enabled under local resources. Is there any solution to this?

Hi kaspernorskov

Can you let me know what version of RDM you're using (Help > About)? There was a bug blocking the clipboard integration until quite recently. If you can confirm you're on the latest version, I'll take a look at what might be going wrong.

Thanks and kind regards,

Of course - sorry for not including that information in my post.
Version 2021.2.28.0 64-bit see below. Updating to latest version as we speak.

Okay, so I am unable to test with the server that caused the problem earlier. However after updating using FreeRDP on another server that I did not previously test, copy/past works. So possibly fixed by updating. I will be able to confirm on the original server later or tomorrow.

After updating all my servers lost its VPN settings for "Connect" though.
It was previously "Connect if unable to ping/port scan" or "Inherited" I don't remember for sure.

Hi kaspernorskov

Thanks for the follow up. I looked up the original ticket for this and I think the fix should've been present back to 2021.2.26, but I'd need to confirm that. Please let us know if you still have issues on the original server and I'll look more closely at that.

I'm sorry you had an issue with the VPN settings after upgrade; I'll send this link to the support team and they should determine if this is a known issue or what can be done.

Thanks and kind regards,

The clipboard works on the original server too. So the update seems to have done the trick.

Thank you so much for your swift support.

Hi kaspernorskov

Good news, I'm glad to hear that is resolved. Don't hesitate to post back with further questions or problems.

Regarding your lost VPN settings; I mentioned it to the support team and they're investigating. It was suggested, however, that you should be able to view the entry history (by right-clicking in the tree view and choosing View > Entry History) and even revert the changes.

Thanks and kind regards,
