We are currently working on adding new open modes for quick connect sessions and would like your input, just to be sure it applies to your case. Here's what we have so far :

You also mention "Open with a template", but it is currently already possible to quick connect using a template from here :

Could you please specify if this works for you, or otherwise clarify why you would also need a "Open with a template" mode ?

sadly I haven't pinned any pictures to the original post.
I have added an edited picture to the attachments.

For already opened quick connect sessions and normal sessions it would be nice if we could right click the session itself (like described, but sadly without pictures before) and open with parameters (prompt for credentials and with a template).

Reason behind Open in No Console/Admin Mode (Prompt for Credentials):
Many RDP Sessions also have to be opened with other RDP users and when already connected to the correct session it would be nice to have the open with parameter option there.

Reason behind Open with a Template:
With many ssh sessions we'd like to open the connection seperatly with sftp, which currently is a template (Forum entry of other user and why we use sftp template: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/28332/open-sftp-session-on-active-ssh-terminal)

If we don't have open with parameters and/or have open with parameters on the quick connect field, we would always have to Copy the hostname and fill in the quick connect session.

This is indeed a bit more tricky to do than the feature we've been working on. Re-opening an already opened session with different parameters isn't as easy as it sounds.

We'll open another ticket for your request, but I can't guarantee it'll make it in before our next major release (2022.3).

Sadly this hasn't made it into RDM yet. We'll analyse the feature a bit more and see if it's something we could possibly add in a minor 2023.2.x release.
