Hello,

Since 3th od February, I have been experiencing a problem that causes me to be unable to connect via Remote Desktop Gateway to any Remote Desktop computer that is behind the RD Gateway. Unfortunately, all I am able to get from RDM is the following information from the Help/Application log: [03.02.2022 15:59:44 - 2021.2.14.0 64-bit]ERROR The host is unreachable.

I have the entire DB with the configuration of all connections and with all authentication accounts and their passwords stored in a protected .xml file, which is located on my personal OneDrive and is thus synchronized between several PCs and Macs. Nothing has changed anywhere in the configuration and when I try to connect from RDM running on Windows, everything works great. RDM running on Mac OS unfortunately doesn't connect anywhere and just keeps repeating the same error.

Has anyone encountered anything similar please? Is there any possibility to enable some more detailed alloying in RDM to ideally find out where the error is? Anyway, it's strange that it works from one system and not the other.

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

Since this issue only seems to occur on RDM Mac, I will move your forum thread to the MAC section and inform the engineers in charge of this section.
That being said, do you encounter a similar issue if you launch RDP connections outside of RDM?

Also, could you please provide us with your session logs? To do so, please refer to this link https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_mac_enable_send_rdp_logs.html. These logs can be sent to me via private message.

Dear James,

I would like to finally solve the problem why RDM is not connecting anywhere on my Mac OS. I have enabled the session log according to the instructions in the link you sent, but there is nothing interesting in it at all. It looks like RDM doesn't try the connection at all, or that something is blocking it at the system or network level. I have absolutely no idea what to do now.

Hi Martin

The text you included looks like an RDM application log, rather than a session log.

Once you've enabled session logging according to James' link, within the "Session Logs" window you have a list of sessions and the log information on the right-side. The individual logs can be copy-pasted, or exported in a number of ways using the "Share" icon:


Please, reproduce the issue and and send us the complete session log for that connection. You can send to me via PM, or by email at rmarkiewicz[at]devolutions.net.
