Hi,

Originally this was not possible because AnyDesk did not provider a command line interface on their macOS version. We therefore couldn't start connection programmatically. They seem to have remedied this in the AnyDesk 6.3.0 update (so long as it was installed with the PKG installer).

That being said the CLI documentation for macOS does not show the same amount of parameters than the Windows one. Most importantly, I don't see the --with-password parameter that is necessary to autofill the password. I do not know if it's because they have not implemented it, or if it's simply the documentation that is incomplete.

I will reopen the ticket for investigation.

Hi,

I actually just saw it. If it can be integrated I'm a taker.

Thanks for investigation :)

Hi,

Did you get any information about this ?

Thanks

Unfortunately no, we haven't had the time to look into this.

Hi karatiens,

At the moment, if I try to run a command line for AnyDesk (see example below), I get this error: Connection via cli is disabled in this version. Please, use shortcuts files instead%

Example: /Applications/AnyDesk.app/Contents/MacOS/AnyDesk 123456789

I can see the following in the documentation: "As of AnyDesk 6.3.0 for macOS, a PKG installer is available for custom clients." I have seen no link in the AnyDesk website to download such a PKG. Do you know if it's reserved for paying customers? Is it something you have access to?

thank you

Hi karatiens,

Having the pkg would make our life a lot easier to implement the feature. But, at first, could you confirm that the following command line works with the pkg installed?

/Applications/AnyDesk.app/Contents/MacOS/AnyDesk <AnyDesk Address> --with-password

It seems you are getting the same error message as me. You can confirm that your version of AnyDesk was installed with the PKG?

At the moment, without CLI support, I do not know how we would get around to implement this.

I well installed the .pkg version. I'll check with them and let you know.

Hi,

here is the response i just received

Hello Fabrice,

please excuse the delayed response, we were waiting on our technicians' response regarding the issue.

Unfortunately, connecting via the command line has been disabled for now. Until it returns, the only way to keep using it would be to use a custom client that you downgraded to version 6.1.4.

To downgrade a Custom Client to said version, please add the following key-value to the configuration's Advanced section:
_module=anydesk-6.1.4

However, please note that this version contains issues that have been fixed in the meantime, and it misses some new features as well. We cannot provide proper support in case you are using this version.

Although the possibility to connect via terminal on macOS is planned to return, we cannot currently provide an ETA on that.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again for any further inquiries!
