ipv6 for terminal connections (terminal or putty) not possible?

Hey there,

I have been used ipv4 for my terminal sessions but need to switch to ipv6 now and as there is no reasing why not for non gaming traffic I am going for it. Unfortunately it does not work:

Sorry for the german but I have set english in the options. I also have enabled ipv6 in the advanced settings:

I am using ssh key authentication which is configured for the folder above and inherited to my terminal connections.

Also the putty connection which I use for port forwarding is not working. Have configured ipv6 there also:

I am using RDM free for my personal game server setup. With royalts it worked but features of RDM are much better.

So what might be the solution to this? I tried using ipv4 directly and also using DNS where I have an AAAA record. Would it work with the commercial license?

Hoping someone can help. Using version:

Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Stefan

Seriously you are complaining for two days during the week for a Free edition? The simple answer is No the commercial edition will have the same issue and this is not a limitation of RDM Free. I can have the Terminal dev look into it but he nos working during the week end.

Oh man... sorry for beeing rude it was by no means my intention. Thought it's the SPOC here. I appreciate it to forward the problem. Is there any possibility to switch on debug messages to get the ssh -v messages displayed?

Hello,

I had a chat with our engineering department regarding your case and as per your logs, it seems to be an issue with the TCP connection.

How the host is configured in your entry? Are you using an IP address? Maybe you could send us a screenshot of the General tab of your entry.

Best regards,

I tried both ipv6 and dns entry. Also worth to mention I am on ipv6 from my ISP on myself and not the default port just to block those bots which try to connect on SSH port as I have logging enabled but don't want to spam the log.

Here's the general tab:

If I can give other or more informations just let me know.

Kind regards

Hello,

Quick question: Is it working via the Putty application outside RDM?
