key C (the letter) not working in SSH when specific web session is open
Ok, this is a strange one, no idea how to debug this, so..
when..
this happens only when the it-portal session is open. when I close this session everything works again. when I reopen the session, everything works also, frustratingly.
maybe connected: I have the same chrome session inside my autostart session list which opens 3 tabs automatically. Quite often (and only since one of the last updates) the autostart session stops after this chrome session and I cannot enter anything in the session search tab. I have to close RDM and reopen and most of the time the autostart list runs to completion.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this,
Also, I'm wondering if the issue persists if you recreate this "Web Browser (HTTP/HTTPS)" entry?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
it's 2021.2.28.0 64-BIT (thanks for making the version selectable in the about screen ;)
data source is Devolution Online Drive
Let's brainstorm a bit, maybe we find the bug before I recreate the entry?
Hello,
Thank you for your quick reply!
No problem, I must say this is indeed odd, I'm wondering what your current configuration is under "File" -> "Options" -> "User Interface" -> "Tree View" for the options "Auto focus tab on item select" and "Auto select item on tab focus" are they both enabled?
My initial suspicions was that this may be related to a "Keyboard Shortcut" however from quickly looking on my end it does not seem possible to assign a shortcut to "C" that being said, it might be working checking under "File" -> "Options" -> "User Interface" -> "Keyboard" and press the "Disable All" button does the issue persists?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
I disabled all Shortcuts and will report.
ok, I recreated the session the focus is jumping to when pressing "c" and it didn't help - the problem remains.
Hello Perler,
Thank you for your reply,
I've not been able to reproduce this behavior yet,
I'm wondering if you could create a portable instance of RDM to see if you encounter the same issue?
To do so, you will need to do the following:
1- Download the .zip file below:
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go in this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager64.exe
5- Enter your current serial
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
as this is not happening that often, let's close this for now, I currently don't have the time for debugging work, sorry..
Hello Perler,
Thank you for your reply,
No problem,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
