Virtualization connection

avatar

Hello,

We are currently testing Remote desktop manager as Tool.

We are running into a problem with the ESXI/Hyper-V Virtual machines login.

We can connect to the Vmware Dashboard and then connect to the console but is there also an possibility to use the credentials in the vault to auto login on the virtual machine? Or a copy paste option.
Same problem with the Hyper-V Dashboard, we can connect to the Hyper-V Dashboard, and see the virtual machines running and open session, but I can't find the option to auto login.

Best regards
Dwayne

Hello Dwayne,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this,

From my understanding, in this scenario, I suspect the best solution would be to have "Username/Password" Credentials type entries for your workstations.

This would allow you to use the "Copy Username and Password" button and simply paste the credentials when needed.

Let me know if this helps,

Hi Samuel,

Thank you for your reply.
I created a Credentials Type entry, select it and chose Copy Password.

Then i go back to my VMremote Console entry, choose Paste but it will not Paste the password (its a Windows OS VM)

I also tried it with the option in the ribbon: Type Clipboard under Actions.

But then the Capitals and the special characters don't work

Are there best practice manuals for connection to VM hosts in Remote desktop manager?

Dwayne

Hello Dwayne,

Thank you for your reply,

When performing the "Copy password" are you able to paste the credentials using the Keyboard shortcut "CTRL+V" in notepad?

Let me know,

Best regards,
