Is there a specific permission within RDM that would allow a user to amend just the password of a credential entry, but not have any other ability to rename, move or delete that entry in RDM.
I know the edit permission can be used to allow the password change part but this also allows that entry to be moved, deleted etc and instead we would like a sub-set of users to have the ability to update just the password field of an entry - if that is at all possible?
Thanks
Rich
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
While it is not possible to do so at this time, I will contact our Engineering Department and see what can be done.

Hello,
After having a discussion with our Engineering Department, they told me that in RDM 2022.1, they will implement the "Move" permissions which would allow you to grant the "Edit" permissions to your user without him being able to move the entry. If you remove him the right to "delete" it as well, it greatly limits what he can do while editing the entry.
Is this something that would work for you?

HI James,
I think this is a start, and it will be interesting to see how this works in practice.
Additionally it would be interesting to understand how others handle the password update process for a team of users, as credentials may be updated by individuals working on systems (like a password expiring and needing to be changed), and so how do others handle having that credential also updated within RDM?
Thanks again
Rich
Hello Rich,
Perfect! We will inform you when this feature is available.
As for your other question, most of our users grant the "Edit" permissions to some of their users to make these changes in RDM. Some let their Administrators handle these changes.
