Option to keep entry name when converting it with template

Could you try to disable the "Keep template name on use" checkbox and confirm that the issue stops happening?

Thank you for your reply. We are familiar with "Keep template name on use" option but have some templates with this option enabled and some with it disabled. When users convert entries with a template they don't know if the option is enabled or disabled. The name change is useful sometimes, but with some conversions users want to keep the existing entry name. An extra checkbox option in the conversion process to keep the entry name would be helpful.

Another nice feature would be to predefine an entry name in a template (but different from the template name itself).
This relates whether option "Keep template name on use" is enabled or disabled, which is different per shared template.

No problem, we could add an additional option for this in the conversion process as you mention.
I think having a separate name used when creating from the template is interesting as well. I've opened a ticket for both of these improvements.

The feature has been added and should be available as early as next version. It will be accessible in the Convert with Template window, and is named Keep entry name.
