Currently LastPass integration is only possible by means of using a master password. When LastPass is configured to authenticate using an SSO (common when used in companies), it's not possible to integrate it with RDM.
Hello,
Thank you for your request. We will open a ticket internally to investigate on the possibility of adding this to the LastPass integration.

Hubert Mireault
Hello,
We started looking into this but it seems that SSO in regards to LastPass isn't simply a different authentication method like we first thought, but it seems that LastPass can be the SSO provider itself. We don't have this product internally so we aren't very familiar with it and how it works.
Could you tell us more information:

Hello,
Yes, the idea is to access credentials stored within a LastPass vault.
The workflow is pretty much the same as a regular LastPass account, but instead of asking for the master password, there is a login button, which then initiates the SSO using the configured provider. In my case it's Azure AD SSO:
After clicking "Log In", I get presented with the MS account sign in process:
And then after signing in, the vault is unlocked and ready to be used.
From a layman's perspective, it seems like only the process of unlocking the vault changes, accessing the vault should be the same, regardless of the unlock mechanism.
Thank you,
Gustavo

Any updates on this? We also use Lastpass with SSO
Hello,
Unfortunately nothing new for now.

Hi Hubert,
Last week we linked RDM to our password manager LastPass. I was not aware that RDM does not yet support SSO for LastPass.
Is there a time path available when RDM can work with SSO-based LastPass?
Grts,
John
Hello,
We don't have a time frame for this yet, as we are still investigating how to support this, it's not a simple change.
Also as additional information, could you tell us what SSO provider you are using? We want to make sure if we implement SSO, your method of authentication is covered.

Hubert Mireault
Hello Hubert,
We are use Microsoft Authenticator
We use Azure AD as SSO provider.

John
Thank you for the information.

Hello., I have the same issue, SSO weith my email and I'm not able to integrate it with RDM. Please Devolutions could you please make a fix. Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback. This is still something we are planning to add but it's not simple. The good news is that we have an environment to test it and are actively working on it, but it's not possible for me to give an estimate at the moment.

Hello, do you have any update on this demande ? do you finally found the trick of that :).
Hello,
Our developer in charge of the LastPass integration is actively working on this. We need to rework the integration to work asynchronously first which is a large change. Afterward, we will be able to proceed with the changes to support SSO in LastPass. I'm hoping we will have this available next year, not for our first release, but for our 2025.2 release.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Can you update us on the ETA here?
Hello,
As of now the plan is still for our 2025.2 release this summer. It will depend if the integration goes smoothly or if we face unexpected challenges.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Hello, what's the status?
Hello,
There were some setbacks when it came to the SSO integration but we have it as a priority for our 2026.1 roadmap. We will also see if it's possible to bring to a minor update for 2025.3 as well.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Hello,
Support for SSO in the LastPass integration has been implemented and is planned to be available in version 2026.1.1.
