Hi,
Is there a functionality when you want to change a password, a prompt or other kind of (custom) message is shown to inform u about dependent systems that are influenced by that change.
Sometimes it occurs that we change a password, but on the backstage, some kind of service is affected by it, but we do not notice it stopped working.
A good example of this is when working with Power Automate Flows.
Many flows are configured with multiple connections, when one of these connection’s passwords is changed, the flow will stop working, sometimes unnoticed.
We hope we informed you enough.
Hello,
From what I understand, when changing the credentials of a credential entry, you would like a message to let you know that there are other entries using this credential? As you mention this isn't currently possible in RDM, but it's something we could add.
As a note, we have the "referenced by" tab on certain entry types, for example credentials, that let you know which entries within the current vault are using the specified credential:
I think we could add a warning as you describe, and you could then use this list to know which machines you need to handle. Let me know what you think.
