Tracking Software Licenses and expirations
I'm hoping to be able to use RDM to track software licenses and expirations. I can add a Software License entry, but there are a few questions I have about this. One is concerning expiration dates. The Advanced tab of the entry contains a renewal date, which is what I think I should use, but the Description section of the entry has an "Expires after" portion. That seems to be for another purpose not related to the software expiration, but I'm not sure about that. Another I question I have is being able to view or report on upcoming expirations. Is that something I can do in RDM?
I appreciate any help or guidance I can get for managing software licenses in RDM. Thank you.

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
Regarding the difference between the "Renewal date" and "Expires after" options ,the main difference is that all entries contain "Expires after", while only Software License entries contain the "Renewal date". Both can be used somewhat interchangeably, but the "Expires after" parameter makes the whole entry flagged as expired.
In both cases, you can consult your notifications regarding license and entry expirations by clicking on the Bell icon at the very bottom-right of RDM's interface.
Also, you can go to File > Options > Application > Notification to adjust when you wish to be notified when an entry is about to expire or when a license is about to expire. You can also specify if you want notifications for expired entries to stop showing in the Notification page after X days.

Unfortunately, the Devolutions Password Hub does not currently have a notification feature. If an entry reaches its expiration date, you will be able to see it by the red flag icon that will appear next to it in the vault as well as by the red warning that will appear on top of its properties when it is in focus :
Currently, in order to be notified when entries expire in Password Hub, you would need to access your Password Hub via RDM.
