Keyboard layout is set automaticly to english and not possible to change
Hi,
i ust the remote desktop manager with my lenovo tab p11 pro and the attachable keyboard from lenovo. I connect to my windows 10 PC via RDP.
Every time i connect the keyboard layout is set to english even thought the keyboard layout on my PC is set to german and also the keyboard layout of my lenovo tab is set to german.
I do not understand why this is happening. I tried to set the keyboard layout for the RDP connections to german but that doesn't help at all.
I really like the remote desktop manager and would love to use it further but with this weird behavior it is unusable( especially because my keyboard has QWERTZ layout)
Please tell me how to set the keyboard layout correctly.
Found the solution myself. It seems that changing the keyboard Layout doesn't change anything, i can still see the "En" setting but if i type y on my keyboard now it correctly tipes y. The solution was to activate the "Sendd as ASCII" option.
So if you have the same issue try my solution.
Hi,
Great news! Did you mean "Send input as Unicode" ?

Yes thats it, i couldn't remember the exact wording.
Ok, many thanks.

Unfortunately I have the same issue, but no workaround from the forum works so far.
Polish language uses special characters Alt+A, Alt+L, Alt+O, Alt+C and a few others. I can use these in the application interface (Samsung DeX), but not inside the RDP session to Win10 :/ I think I tried all language-related settings in the client.
Newest version of RDM, Android 13 on Samsung S22+ in DeX mode.
Hi,
You've tried to set your keyboard layout to Polish and Send input as unicode to 'Yes' and it doesn't work?

Nicolas Dufour
Yes, unfortunately this trick doesn't work.
We are currently working on several keyboard issues. When done, would you be ok with testing an internal build to validate that
our improvements/fixes work?
Best Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Of course. Thank you!
Good, we will let you know when an internal release is available with the improvements. We will send you a private message via our forum.
Nicolas Dufour
We have sent a customized build to MakaanPL through a private message and are currently awaiting some feedback.

Dear Developers,
I'am newbe here, and I'am not sure this topic is the best. I use on ChromeOS and the SSH client works a bitly incorrect. When I connected a Linux server and I had runing the 'sudo' the password can't accepted. When I pasted from clipboard is it works well. I have only hunagarian keyboard (input) but this password hasn't contain any non english caracter. When I typed it in simple shell I see the correct characters, but int hte passord promp it says is incorrect.
Thanks in advance,
Gabor
Hello,
Thank you for reporting this issue, we will look into it.
To clarify, you're saying that when you type your password in the shell normally, you see the correct characters, but when using the sudo command and it prompts for your password, typing the same password results in a "Wrong password" error, is that correct ?
