Hide empty folders

We would like to see the option in RDM to hide empty folders and hiding folders with only empty sub-folders.
Use case: We use the same structure for all of our customers. Each service has it's own folder and can have sub-folders. These base folders are present for all customers and our users create the entry in the matching folder.
Since not all customers use all of our services, this means that some folders are empty or contain only empty sub-folders. Not all users like to see the empty folders, and would love the option to hide these folders.
Would it be possible to create this feature? Preferably, this option could be set on a folder level, so our template customer (a visual template so all users can see the complete structure), that only contain in some directories a example entry, would not be affected.

Thanks for the request and all of the details you provided regarding what would work for you. I've opened a ticket so we can add this feature to RDM. We will post in this thread if we have any additional questions or when we have an update on the feature.

I would like to second this request but ask that the ability to hide any/all the folders in the root, maybe a checkbox.
We are now up to 32 users and climbing and being an admin I see all the individual folders that have been created for the various admins.
I would like to only see my folder 99% of the time and only have to view another's folder if I am assisting them with something.

From what I understand, what you're looking for is a bit different from the original request, since you wouldn't want to configure this on the folder level (thus applying to every user), you would want a way to "focus" on a certain folder structure since you don't need to see the other ones most of the time, is that correct? At the moment maybe you could use the filter with "include folder content" checked, and search for the topmost folder you need. This would allow you to see only the content of the folder you want as long as you don't clear the filter. If this doesn't work for you, we can open a different ticket to think of a solution to your scenario.
