Run "Check is Online" before connect (Template)

I have not found any options at the moment that could allow you to perform a "Check is Online" just before launching it, so I will discuss your request with our engineering team bit, to see if it would be possible to implement this feature.

It was just brought to my attention that we do have an option to "Check is Online" as session just before it is launched. This can be found in the properties of your entries, under Management Tools > Is Online.

That being said, the main effect of this online check is to display entries stored on your data source in red if they are not online, so I'm not certain it would be of much help for Quick Connect sessions.

I would like to verify what behavior you would be looking for in regarding to the online check you wish to do on your Quick Connect sessions.

Thank you for the reply, I have tried this option, without actually knowing what it did 😃 So now I know that.
But no, it isn’t something I can use for this.

But alternatively I could make a PowerShell script that did it. Saw a post on that while searching for this 😊

I will create a feature request to add in the Event - Before Open an option to Check is Online before connect with a timeout. I think it's a good idea and this should not be hard to do for us.

The new "Connect when Available" is awsome, and could potentionally also fix my problem.

I just need a setting in settings to set default connection mode to "Connect when Available" (Either entirely or for Quick connect only) or something like that instaed of using the Macro.

EDIT: it could actually be pretty cool if the default connection mode for all connections could be set to "Connect when Available".
