Hello,

Could you give us these two informations:

  • What version of RDM are you running?
  • What 2FA are you using on Bitwarden?

When you are prompted for the Bitwarden 2FA, there should be a box for "remember this device" that will let RDM remember the 2FA information for as long as this token is valid. Did you make sure to check the box? We've had a report from a different client that for them the expiration delay is quite short, but we haven't been able to reproduce internally. Perhaps it's the same issue you are encountering as well.

Hi,

It Works but the maximum amount of time is 30 sec to generate another token code and asking me for a new one.
So even if i check the box all 30 seconds i have to give a new token if i want to connect to a server from bitwarden vault.

Hello,

I misspoke but the token we save in RDM isn't the 2FA value, it's the access token that should stay valid for 30 days, the same way as if you do "remember me" when logging in to Bitwarden's web interface.
From what I understand, you reproduce the same issue as our other customer. We will be investigating to see if we can reproduce it but there might be something particular to your Bitwarden instance that causes this behavior.

Hi,

If you can give me the way to configure it. I can check if i don't have made mistake.
For your information i don't know if your other customer is in the same way but i use VAULTWARDEN and not Bitwarden in cloud. It's the same thing but Vaultwarden is the self hosted version of Bitwarden.

Hi,

After some tests i can confirm you it's only related with RDM because with my Firefox browser i have no issue with remember the token.
In RDM it ask me for the token code all 30Sec - 1Minute

Hi,

This morning i have detected another problem related to this and i think it's the source cause of all of it.

1/ On my RDP session i have specific users settings to log on with my credentials.
2/ I enable token by google authenticator
3/ I try to connect to my RDP session
4/ It ask me for a Token

forum image

I type a wrong token code

forum image

I try again to log on, this time it ask me for my login password

forum image

so i type my login / password and i can connect to my server without token

When i check my RDP session settings user specific, all my settings are lost.

It happen only with 2FA activated on my bitwarden account and with specific users setting.

With RDP session with no user specific settings when i type a wrong token i can't logon after my second retry. But my token is never remembered in all the case.

Hello,

Thank you for providing us that many details about this issue.

Would you be available for a remote session? If so, I could open a support case on your behalf and provide you with a link to schedule a session at your convenience. It would allow me to have a closer look at this issue and at your configuration.

Best regards,

Hi,

I can do all the test you need but i can't give you remote access for confidentiality reason with some of my customers.

Hello Neohara,

Actually, I would like to perform a few tests while taking a close look at your configuration. That being said, you would be the one performing the actions and if for confidentiality reasons you do not want me to record your screen, we won't have access to any information afterward.

Best regards,

Hi,
I think I can help a little.
The checkbox is under the input field when the Windows scale is greater than 150%.
If you set the scaling temporarily to 100%, you can see the checkbox. Then you can click on it and have peace for 30 days.
I have a 4K notebook with 200% scaling. The checkbox is not visible.

Hello b.raue,

We've found and fixed the issue, this fix should take effect as early as next version. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
