I have several SSH sessions set up and they are all working fine, i.e.
logs in with my Personal Credentials and run the post-login command that
I’ve set. However, when I set up a website to access a device's web interface,
they don’t work: The web page opens, and my username, from personal credentials,
is entered in the name field, but nothing is entered in the Password field. Any hints?
Hello ijohnston,
I'd like to confirm which type of entry you are using? I'm assuming "Web Browser (HTTP/HTTPS)" is that correct?
Regarding autofill in embedded web sessions, we have the following knowledge base article which I believe will be helpful in your case:
https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_web_browser_web_authentication.html
In most cases, the "Discover" will find the fields "IDs" automatically, however, if they are not found you can use method #2 described in the article to find them manually.
With the correct field IDs, the autofill should work.
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
yes
I've got one of them working when I save credentials for that particular site, but I can't get it to work using My Personal Credentials. The thing is, we have many sites which use my admin UID and a password that changes every day. For SSH I just update the password in My Personal Credentials and don't need to do anything else. If I have to create credentials for every web session, I'd need to update the password in each of them as I used them for the first time each day.
Anyway, I've got a few more things to try and more digging to do. Thanks for your help,
Ian
