SSH - byobu - problems with changing windows

avatar

Hello,
I reinstalled OS and RDM and now some byobu key bindings are not working. I can achieve this in Putty or MobaXTerm or PowerShell SSH. I have exported and imported RDM config.

I'm connecting to X machine with SSH and then running byobu (terminal multiplexer). byobu supports many windows and since reinstall I cannot change/cycle trough them. This is from byobu help:
Alt-Left/Right Move focus among windows
Alt-Up/Down Move focus among sessions
When I try to change sessions it is recognized and I get message that there are no more sessions, which is correct. But when I try to change window, I get no message and nothing happens. When using Putty or Moba or PS I would get message that there are no more windows (or if there are any, it would change window).

Example of byobu session message in the left, bottom corner.

I have already tried disabling all RDM keybindings. It is weird to me that Alt+Up/Down works but Alt+Left/Right does not.

Hopefully I'm doing something wrong and this wasn't "disabled" by some newer version of RDM :)

p.s.: I love it that I can paste pictures in here!

Hello,

Thank you for the details, we will take a look at this issue. I think we've made some changes recently in how we parse alt-left/right, so maybe something broke in this specific case.

Hello, anything new on this?

Hello,

We should have a fix for this available in our latest update 2021.2.20.0 that released just this weekend. Could you give it a try and see if you still encounter the issue?
