RDP support of Remote Video Capture Devices (ie Webcams in Web Conferencing Software)
The Native Windows RDP client(Remote Desktop Connection) has a checkbox for Redirection of Video Capture Devices. Nomatter what I select in the profile of the RDP connection, I cannot get it to redirect the local video capture device when I use Devolutions RDM. If I import my RDP definition file, of course it works...but that executes outside the tabed/windowed frame is is just like the native client.
Anyway you can implement the use of redirected video capture devices in your product as well as sound. Sound is working fine!

Hello,
Could you confirm your Remote Desktop Manager version?

Hi Etienne,
RDM ver 2021.1.41.0 64-BIT
Hello,
Sorry for the delay, a ticket with the engineering department is open in order for them to look into it!
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Thanks for the follow-up...it will be great if they can do something here.
Hello Etienne, is there any status on this ticket? I see Video cameras in my remote device still are remote, and the video feed is always of the local device not the remote client being redirected. Audio is redirected properly but not video.
Hello,
It is still on the engineering's to-do list, but they are looking into it!
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
OK please update the thread with any change of status. The product is not usable with remote meeting software with this limitation.
