Danish letter format and sorting in RDM

avatar

Hi,
In the Danish language we have 3 more letters - Æ Ø Å
The problem is that when RDM sorts these letters in the normal alphabet A-Z, the it does it wrong.
The correct sorting is A-Z and the Æ Ø Å
In the picture below you can see that it sorts it all wrong.

Is it possible to make the sorting method in RDM understand what to do with the extra letters we have?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

The behavior you reported is most likely due to the fact that RDM is set in English and in doing so, it uses the default sorting method. That being said, since it is not possible to set RDM in Danish, it is not possible to change the sorting to match what you are looking for.

Hello,

We've discussed it internally and while we don't support Danish as a language within RDM, we have an idea on how we could support this for the sorting. We've opened a ticket for this and we will get back to this thread once the change is available.

Hi Thomas,

We have added this feature internally. It should be available starting with version 2022.1

It will be added to the Tree View options under the name "Tree view culture"
