RDS RemoteApp with different User

RDS RemoteApp with different User

avatar

Hi

I want to open a RemoteApp with specific credentials on server X. Then I want to open a different RemoteApp on the same server X, but with different credentials. The connection gets established, but with the credentials of the first connections or rather it just uses the existing session.

For me this is no the expected behaviour. If you edit a RDP file you have the option "disbale session sharing" what would resolve the issue.

So my question: Is there any way to get this work in RDM?

Best regards,
Mike

Hello,

I believe this help topic could help you with that : https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_manual_runas.html

Thanks for your reply. I don't think this will do the trick. I'am talking about RDS RemoteApp. It think I can't use runas here.

Hello,

Since editing your RDP file and enabling the option "disable session sharing" works for you outside of RDM, I would recommend trying to import this .rdp file in RDP directly and see if the same issue occurs.

After doing some research on that matter, the option you mentioned seems to be the only way to achieve that but it does not seem to be available in RDM directly. Importing your .rdp file might allow you to work around that.

I solved the problem. I've created for every RemoteApp a different DNS-Record. The behaviour is now like session sharing is disabled.
