SSH Shell authentication not working with Linked vault credentials
I probably have tried to find the cause of this on the wrong end, so I need some assistance by this.
I have SSH Shell sessions and defined a linked vault credential entry to them. When I start the entry an Interactive logon window pops up asking me for the password for the user manager@x.x.x.x. I'm still unable to authenticate even when I enter the correct password.
It works when I edit the entry and set the credentials to Custom en enter the username and password directly in the entry.
How come?
Hello,
Could you confirm your Remote Desktop Manager version? Also, which specific type of entry is it linked to?

Hi Etienne,
We're on 2021.1.44.0. The entry type is SSH Shell and is pointing to the IP address of an Aruba LAN Switch.
Connecting to the same device with the linked vault credentials by using a Putty type SSH entry succeeds by the way.
Hello,
If you head over to the Advanced tab of your session, do you have Interactive Authentication in terminal set to Yes or No?

"Interactive Authentication in terminal" is set to Default.
Tested it also with the other values. No had the same result as Default. Yes resulted in almost the same except that the password was requested in the SSH CLI Session itself and not by RDM in a popup window.
I'm prevented from logging on even when I manually type the password when requested.
Can this have something to do with encoding?
Hello,
I will verify with the engineering department. Keep you updated!
