Windows native SSH and/or WSL integration

Hi there,
It would be great if instead of keep using Putty or some other app to open SSH sessions, RDM uses the native SSH Windows client, and/or some form of WSL integration.

Hello Fabio,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

We do not recommend using Putty instead of our own SSH Shell engine since we can send the information directly without passing through a process. Would it be possible for you to tell us what is missing?

Best regards,

Hi James,

It's just that in File->Options->Types->Putty
The choices are Putty, Plink, and KITTY, and after that, Embedded Putty delay...

I was just wondering if it would d be better to use native Windows SSH integration.

Thanks,

Hello Fabio,

Thank you for your quick reply!

The best option would be to use an SSH Shell entry instead in RDM. The fact that it uses our own SSH engine gives it more flexibility and allows us to improve it easily if needed. If after using this type of entry you find out that something is missing over the native Windows SSH integration, just let us know and we will see what can be done.
