Hi,

I would like to have the possibility to save the otp credential on a folder object and the option to inherited the otp credential from a connection.

Example:
I automated the Microsoft Cloud log in and try to add all Administration Websites from M365 to RDM.

this is working great!
I also created a Template of this folder to make it easer to roll out for a new folder structure (Customer)
The Login (User/Password) is set to Inherited and saved on the parent folder.

Now we have the need to add OTP Credentials to make everything more Secure.
The Credential Object from the parent folder alredy has the otp integration saved.

(Username /Password) Credential Entry:

I tried to use the Variable, but it doesn´t worked.

After some troubleshooting, I found out that it only works if I add the otp credentials in the http otp session field.
That´s OK for me, but the Problem is, that I can´t set this selection to Inherited to use the credential object from the parent folder.

It would be great if this is possible in the future.

Hello Benjamin,

Thanks for the request! We've actually reworked OTP linking in RDM 2021.2, which will allow an OTP to be configured on any entry, a little similar to what you've shown with the web browser entry. This will allow us to more easily support OTPs across our many entries.

At the moment this new feature doesn't support inherited credentials, but we will open a ticket to add support for this. We'll update this thread once the improvement is done.

Hi,

In the latest version, it is now possible to achieve this by using the newly added Inherited Source mode under the One Time Password tab:

Do not hesitate if you have any further issues or questions.
