Templates no longer visible
I have host entries which have been setup to point at several templates.
In the advanced tab I can see the names of the templates, if I open the host connection I can select of them and it works.. all gravy so far!
Here I click the host and I am presented to pick which template:
However if I go to my template view... I can see local tab and no entries??
Where are the three that I created that work??

In order to help me determine what could be causing this issue, I would like to ask you a few questions.
- What version of RDM do you currently use?
- What is the type of data source you use?
- How were your templates originally created?
- Under the Advanced tab of your Host entry, if you click on the "Select Templates" button, do you see your list of templates or is this window empty as well?

- What version of RDM do you currently use? - Enterprise Edition 2021.1.41.0
- What is the type of data source you use? - Local
- How were your templates originally created? - They were made some time back, if I recall correctly I went to file temple new.. there used to be shared option I think and they were there. However now I only have the option for Local.
- Under the Advanced tab of your Host entry, if you click on the "Select Templates" button, do you see your list of templates or is this window empty as well? - I now only see the test one I created, before it was blank.

One of my colleagues from the engineering team has mentioned to me that the reason you no longer see your templates under the File > Templates menu is that the category of these templates, Shared Templates, was removed from local data sources, leaving only Local Templates available. However, because of the consequences this removal causes, they have decided to bring them back, so the issue will be solved when Shared Templates are reinstated in local data sources, with the release of RDM 2021.2.

Thanks for the update. Any idea on when that is due for release?
Will I be able to change from Shared to Local, just in case its decided to remove the shared option again in the future?

Hello,
Unfortunately, I cannot provide an exact release date for RDM 2021.2 at the moment.
However, what I can confirm is that you should be able to migrate your templates from Shared to Local once the Shared option is reintroduced. You will be able to export and reimport your templates in the desired section.
