Hi! Since it's now possible to make use of Microsoft Edge WebView2, we wanted to switch several Google Chrome sessions to the new feature.
With public resources this works quite well, but with some internal HTTPS resources, which have certificates that are self-signed or from an internal CA, this doesn't work.
With embedded Google Chrome it's possible to set the switch "Ignore Certificate Errors". I would likt to see that with Edge WebView2 as well.
Thank you!

Hello Marco,
This is not possible yet but it's coming soon:
https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge/WebView2Feedback/blob/master/specs/ClientCertificate.md
I also saw your other post about the incognito mode and I will answer it. Keep in mind that unfortunately we are limited by the Microsoft WebView development progress and a lot of small properties/features are still missing.

Hi David, thanks for your response.
I do understand, that you can't add a feature, that WebView2 doesn't offer.
But your link has nothing to do with my request.
As I see it, the link is about Certificate authentication.
What I'm asking for, is about ignoring untrusted HTTPS certificates, nothing about authentication. Although they are both certificate topics, this has nothing to do with each other.

Hello,
It's more related than it seems. The link is an API proposal to handle the certificate management but I agree that what you want is more related to this one:
https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge/WebView2Feedback/issues/624
Unfortunately I haven't found a workaround for now.

@Marco,
Good news. We got Ignore certificate errors working with embedded Edge sessions. This feature will be available in the next beta release of RDM (v2021.1.x).
