I did a little bit of looking around first but I didn't see anything helpful.
When connecting with RDM to Windows Server 2008 R2 we can't login. The same setup works fine with Win10/Win2012/16 etc but 2008 is no go
Hello,
Are you able to connect properly using Microsoft RDP (mstsc.exe)?
If yes, could you try to create a .rdp file from Microsoft RDP and import that file into RDM via the File -> Import menu and see if that still work?
Best regards,

If I embed the credentials, yes. But I want to use inherited credentials from the vault
Hello,
Oh ok, the session is working when the credentials are saved inside, but not when inherited is configured...interesting, but why?
Is it the only session in that folder that the inheritance feature is not working on?

Doesn't matter which folder. If its 2008, it doesn't work for us (for some reason). Fortunately we only have a few of these left
Hello,
Unfortunately, it's not something that I could test down here since we don't have any Windows Server 2008 and since it's no longer supported.
Exceptionally, my workaround would be to centralize these machines under the same folder, but configuring them with the credentials directly inside the session. Having them under the same folder will facilitate the credentials update via the Batch Edit feature if requires
