Sometimes, I have a lot of SSH session (7+) and open a new one, for example, RDM just crashes unexpectedly. When this happens, the window literally just vanishes and it has caused a lot of issues with my use of the software. Another issue related is that certain types of invalid sessions seem to cause RDM to crash and exit immediately.
If logs are needed, please point to me where I can find them.
Hello,
Do you have any logs about the crash in either Help - Application Logs (Remote Desktop Manager) and/or Window's Event viewer?

Hello,
Thank you for sending us your error logs. According to them, the crash in RDM is caused by the faulting module kernelbase.dll. We have seen this issue a few times before but unfortunately, this is not something we can fix ourselves because the issue is with kernelbase.dll itself, which is a Windows component. According to the information we have gathered on that matter by consulting documentation from Microsoft's Support, we have found out that most of the time, these issues occurs when your Windows workstations are not updated to the latest version available. For this reason, would it be possible for you to verify if you have any windows update available? We have also found this topic from Microsoft which should provide you more details on that matter:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/applications-fail-to-start-with-kernelbasedll/44a4c2ad-a43f-479b-b026-bcdc2ff01285You will notice at the end of this thread, that this issue also lead back to the "Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, mentioned in your logs. Let me know if you have any additional questions on this case!
Best regards,
Etienne Lord
I am running the latest version of Windows though (21H1 19043.1110) and it has happened in different versions before as well.
I'll look at the Microsoft stuff too, but what could be the cause of this and what would you recommend I do to work around the issue?
Hello,
Since the issue is a .dll file, it's quite hard to tell. You can always try to run those tools : https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_corrupted_system_file.html
