Check Point endpoiut vpn not starting?

Check Point endpoiut vpn not starting?

avatar

Hi
i have added check point endpoint vpn connection, and added an entry, but it seems nothing happens.

  • I found out that i need to create a session in check point, before i can use it? Is this correct, because this means we need to add these sessions on every computer that needs to use these connections?
  • even when i created session, i can see it starting to connect, but waits for a username/password altough i entered these in the settings. The login screen does not come to the front, but i need to activate it manually.

Can you tell us how we can get this working for all users?

Hello Benny,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

You are correct, you would need to add these sessions on every computer that needs to use these connections. As for the username/password not being sent when you start the connection, would it be possible for you to launch RDM as an administrator and see if this issue persists?

Also, which version of RDM and what type of Data Source you are currently using?

Hello James,
thnx for your answer...
in between, we figured out the problem. Apparently the session we created on the pc had a typo in the name, so the vpn client would not startup correctly.
Also we figured out, that we can create a session via a command line statement, we launch now before we launch the vpn connection.

So now the process is automated, we create session (if it already exists, no problem just get a message stating it already exist). we start vpn and then can connect to remote desktop at customer...

So for us now, also this vpn connection type is automated for our users.
