$PASSWORD$ in Command Line entry does not work

$PASSWORD$ in Command Line entry does not work

avatar

I'm trying to start a custom tool with Command Line type session. Part of my invocation in arguments is :
user=$USERNAME$|password=$PASSWORD$
Credential field is set - Find by Name (User Vault) with value name of credential from User Vault
"Security Settings > Allow password in variable" is set to true.

When the tool starts I see that $USERNAME$ was properly included but password is still "$PASSWORD$" in the system. Here is dump from Task Manager > Command Line field.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Devolutions support. Just want to make sure your Security setting for Allow Password in Variable was set on the Vault (Admin tab > System Settings > Password Policy), then the credential being called and then the Command Line session Entry. If one of the 3 is missing this would explain why it is not working.

Best regards,

Allow Password in Variable was missing on credential entry in User Vault. No changes were required in Admin tab.

Thanks. It works now.
